 Hi everyone! 

Welcome to my blog! I've just created this space to share my English learning journey with you all! Despite choosing "Language Unlocked: How I Conquered English" as the title, I must confess that I haven't conquered the English language yet! But that's my dream! Why is it my dream? Well, everyone has a goal to achieve, right? Don't take the micky out of me by saying it's a wild goose chase! 

Let me introduce myself briefly! I'm a girl from Afghanistan. Afghan men always boast that none of the great empires of the past ever conquered our country. Afghanistan has never been colonised, not even by the British. Quite something, innit? That said, I'm here to conquer the English language instead! 

Back in November 2023, I created an Instagram page dedicated to learning English idioms, inspired by my wonderful teacher. I plan to share some of my IG posts, along with examples of new vocabulary, phrasal verbs, slangs, idioms, expressions and proverbs I've learnt along the way.
